It’s safe to say the market is hot, hot, hot right now! Periwinkle Way is buzzing with bikes and beach-goers. Home buyers are here in town looking at properties on the market… homeowners are busy with showings and offers… and we are working overtime to help make it all happen!

What an exciting time it is, especially if you are still toying with the idea of selling your home here on Sanibel. Even though it’s the end of February, we still have a number of potential home buyers in town, and a handful of clients with flights scheduled in the coming weeks.

As properties continue to “fly off the shelves,” there’s certainly a need to replenish the inventory of homes here on the island. In fact looking at the past sales can be helpful whether you are “just curious,” or you are serious about listing your home within the next few months. To help you out, I’ve listed each home sale that has taken place on Sanibel and Captiva Island over the past three months. Hopefully this helps give you a good glimpse of the market, how quickly homes are selling and at what price point. Of course there are a number of variables that go into each home sale, most of which you can’t see just by looking at the stats.
