Want to help us take the title?? The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel are going for the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the largest human image of a seashell… Yes, that’s a thing, who knew?
The event is taking place on none other than National Seashell Day of course! In its third year of celebration, National Seashell Day falls on Thursday, June 21, 2018, which is also the first day of Summer. We can’t think of a better way to welcome Summer than to get together with friends or co-workers and shellebrate these fascinating mollusks that make our beaches so unique to the Gulf Coast.

What is the current world record?
We thought you might ask that… 855! The current record is held by the Shell Oil Company, who in 2017 organized a team-budding exercise for gas station owners in Turkey. They formed the famous Shell Oil company logo with 855 gas station owners and had a great time doing it we’re sure!
So what do we need to break the record? Simply 856 people to help spread the word about our fabulous beaches and community! It’s a chance to come together for fun, fundraising (bring a canned good for Goodwill), and history in the record books! Plus, you get a free t-shirt, who doesn’t get excited for that?
We’re hoping to have a few of our staff members join the fun! Shoot us a message if you are going and would like to meet up along the way!
