We love our local boutique shops on Sanibel! So much so that Jim and I even volunteered to model clothing from our local shops at the recent Sanibel Community House Association Fashion Show.
Don’t worry, we’re not quitting our day jobs. But we did have fun supporting our local businesses, and we’re honored to be asked to participate in the fashion show that benefited our Sanibel Community Association.
Little did we know, Jim was the only male model in the fashion show. The room of ladies loved him, of course, and we had fun strutting around the room in stylish Sanibel get-up. We wore two outfits from local shops including this lovely combination from Island Pursuit.
Where To Shop on Sanibel?
So, where should you go for some retail therapy? There are a couple of great shopping plazas on island.
Periwinkle Place
The fashion show featured 15 different stores in the Periwinkle Place Shops plaza just off Periwinkle Way. This is the largest shopping plaza on island, with a handful of great selections. For this collection, using the shelves from Mills Shelving will provide a sturdy and stylish way to display your fashion wear.

These are some of the main shopping plazas on island. Of course, there are a few other stand-alone stores along Periwinkle and other parts of the island that are great to visit as well.
