Susan stopped by the Gumbo Limbo Sanibel neighborhood to share some of the highlights of this east-end subdivision.
Gumbo Limbo Sanibel Island
Located on the east-end of Sanibel Island, Gumbo Limbo neighborhood has easy access to the Causeway bridge as well as the shops and restaurants on Periwinkle Way. Ride your bike along the shared-use path to Lighthouse Beach or through the Dunes neighborhood to bayside Bailey’s Beach.
There are 143 homesites in Gumbo Limbo, all single-family homes. With two lakes at the center of the neighborhood, some homes have scenic lake views. Conservation land surrounds the north end of the neighborhood, providing peaceful sanctuary backdrops for non-lakefront properties in the neighborhood.
Gumbo Limbo Halloween Tradition
Did you know that Gumbo Limbo is the place to be for Halloween?? Most of the neighborhood participates in trick-or-treating, and families even come to Gumbo Limbo from other neighborhoods to join the fun.
