Meet Our "Director of First Impressions"

Hello, I’m Wendy, the Director of First Impressions at McCallion & McCallion. I was born and raised in Connecticut, near where Susan is from actually! Our families have known each other for many years and it’s so nice to now be working side-by-side with Susan and Jim here on Sanibel.

My husband and I, and our youngest son made the big leap from Connecticut to Sanibel in 2021 and we all love our small island lifestyle. Sanibel has been a special place for our family since the mid-70s, when all of my grandparents purchased homes on island. As a child, I would look forward to a week or two each year, combing the beaches for seashells, watching the dolphins play, and feeling the warmth of the sun.

Now, my family resides on the east end of Sanibel where we love our beach time, riding bikes, boating, and hosting our friends and family. Nothing makes me happier than a crowd around my kitchen table and a little sand in my house. If you wander the east end on a walk or bike ride, come find my “Little Free Library”.

Family and sunshine may have drawn us to Sanibel, but since Hurricane Ian, we have been blessed by a sense of community, and felt the resilience of our Island. In true DIY style, we did many of our own home renovations and upgrades after the storm, with help from friends and family as well as our neighbors and local heroes. The struggle made us love our little slice of paradise even more. As a part of the team at McCallion, I look forward to every opportunity to extend that Sanibel welcome, kindness, and helpfulness that we have felt in this special community.

Fun Facts: Some of my favorite hobbies include waterskiing and reading. Thirty+ years of teaching and being the mother of my two boys have been some of my most cherished accomplishments!
