With all that has happened in 2020, it’s easy to lose sight of the good that has come out of this year. That’s why we’re taking a moment to count our blessings before Thanksgiving and the holiday season.
We’re Thankful…
For Our Health
The Coronavirus has swept the globe and affected so many. It’s even directly affected our family and friends. But still, we are thankful for our health, our doctors and nurses, and all those who have served on the front-lines during this time.
For Our Business
Our business sure has changed this year! Our team has adapted to working from home, and the new safety measures for meeting in-person. While there was a slowdown in home sales during our “peak season” this year, it seems that the real estate market has bounced back. In fact we’ve had our busiest September and October yet!
For Storm Season
While major hurricanes have devastated Louisiana, Nicaragua, the Philippines and many other areas, Florida has remained relatively safe this storm season. Natural disasters can strike anywhere at anytime. That’s why we are thankful when all is calm and sunny here in Southwest Florida.
For Family Time
Since sheltering at home, we’ve had more time with the kids this year! Where we’re usually running around from school to band to girl scouts and showings, we’ve been forced to slow down. We’ve actually had the chance to hang out, watch movies and cook dinner together.
For A Family Getaway
On the same note, we were able to take a quiet little family getaway to one of our favorite places, Asheville, North Carolina. Here, we hiked mountain trails and witnessed wildlife unique to this area – like the family of black bears that came to rummage through our recycling!
For Refinancing Our Home
Jim and I refinanced our Sanibel home that we purchased in 2007 (when the interest rates were less than favorable). We’re thankful for the opportunity to work with our local SanCap Community Bank to refinance our home and save a great deal of money on our monthly payments. Click here to read about our experience.
While we’ve certainly experienced hardship this year, as most have, we think it’s good to take a step back and see all that there is to be thankful for. Last but certainly not least on my list is to thank you! Thanks for your continued support of our business, for your kind words, and for trusting us in times of uncertainty. We hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and beautiful start to the holiday season.
