I was looking at the population density of Sanibel Island and started thinking about what that means for our beaches. Sanibel’s relatively small population and 15 miles of beaches means that you can stroll our beaches or claim your patch of sand without fending off the crowds.
Sanibel Island Compared to:
Marco Island, Naples, Siesta Key and Saint Pete Beach
Sanibel Island has more beaches than most other South Florida beach communities.
Now, if we compare both our low population and long beaches, you can see how Sanibel beaches remain uncrowded and pristine.
