We’ve got our “pre-season” game faces on here on Sanibel & Captiva Island! Pre-season in the sense that November is usually the beginning of our busier Winter months when we have an influx of seasonal residents and vacationers come to the islands.

Pre-Season New Listings
This time of year is also when we see a wave of new listings hit the market, in preparation for the buyers that will be down to look at homes during the Winter months.
This year’s wave of new listings was vast! In fact, the number of new listings to hit the market on Sanibel and Captiva during October 2018 was 33% higher than that of October 2017. Take a look at the numbers below.
A total of 94 new listings came on the market between October 1st – 31st, 2018. These new listings include residential single family homes, condos and vacant land on both Sanibel and Captiva Islands. The data was pulled from our Sanibel-Captiva MLS on October 31, 2018.
Of the properties that McCallion & McCallion listed in October, one is already under contract, and another just received an offer today! Both were priced according to fair market value and moved fast!
