For those unfamiliar… BIG ARTS is Sanibel & Captiva Island’s home for arts, culture, entertainment and so much more – since 1979!
Each year BIG ARTS presents world-renowned music and dance, professional live theater, distinguished speakers, fine art exhibits, critically acclaimed films, and workshops taught by gifted artists.
We think it’s a great showcase of the talented and friendly Sanibel Community you hear so much about. It’s certainly a great place for new Sanibel residents to dive right in, and learn more about the Sanibel culture.

When you purchase a home on Sanibel or Captiva Island you will receive a complimentary one year membership to BIG ARTS? Not only that, but the BIG ARTS welcome packet includes a calendar of workshops and events, and also a gift certificate to a performance at BIG ARTS Strauss Theater.
We love our BIG ARTS membership, especially the children’s Summer Program. In fact, all of our kids have been through the Summer Camp, with our youngest, Abby just finishing up her last weeks this Summer.
