Flip on any HGTV Home Makeover episode or open any home improvement magazine and you’ll see foreign appliances and materials everywhere you look. Ann Sacks – Tile
Visit the Ann Sacks factory in Portland, Oregon and see the craftsmen hard at work, designing ceramic tile by hand! The MADE by Ann Sacks collection is a 30-year old staple in the companies line of luxury tiles. Not to mention, the company is a pioneer of environmental conservation through their efforts of recycling excess raw clay, using only lead-free glazes on the tiles, and recycled packaging for shipping. The Stickley brothers founded this iconic company of American craftsmanship that ruled the 20th Century. The Stickley factory in Manlius, New York is still operating today, creating beautiful wood furniture known for meticulous attention to detail and durability. You can even visit the Stickley Museum in Fayetteville, New York to see some of Gustav Stickley’s original craftwork. The company’s ever green attitude has carried it’s legacy as well, as they claim to “overbuild” their products to last years in your home, not years in the landfill. Celebrating 50 years of excellence, Roben is a great American company who’s claim to fame came through an unexpected medium… medicine cabinets! All products are made in Bristol, Pennsylvania, underscoring its commitment to craftsmanship and fine materials.
