Captiva Christmas: Tree Lighting Kicks-off Season

Captiva Christmas Tree Lighting
Our family just had a blast at the Tree Lighting festivities at Tween Waters Inn on Captiva Island. They hold this event every year, but it was the first time we went – and we’re glad we did.

Tween Waters has limited parking so we rode an open air trolley from South Seas. This was our 3 year old’s favorite!

We then enjoyed the daily light show on the beach as the sun set over the gulf, painting the clouds in rich colors. Many folks enjoyed beverages and snacks served at Tween Waters. The kids, Susan and I all ran into local friends.

A duet performed classic Christmas favorites, as the Christmas lights went on. The performance culminated with the lighting of the tree. Then BOOM! – The fireworks began.

It was a great time to enjoy the season, the outdoors and time with family. All the kids asked to come back next year.
