We’re getting excited about this year’s Luminary Night on Sanibel Island! This will be our second Luminary Night on Sanibel as our own business and brokerage.
Last year was our first time participating in this fun Sanibel traditional in our new office space at 1640 Periwinkle Way. We had a tremendous turn-out, as members of the community walked the town and stopped by for a cup of hot cocoa or glass of wine.
You should see Periwinkle Way with the sidewalk lit up with the luminary candles and bags. It’s the one night where Sanibel is glowing with Christmas lights, candles and kid’s glow sticks.
Luminary Night on Sanibel is a time for the community to get outside and enjoy the beautiful “winter” weather on the island. Businesses stay open and welcome guests to stop by and socialize.
The Luminary Festival kicks off the Holiday Season here on the island – a tradition that has taken place for more than three decades. Every year, Santa makes a special appearance on top of his fire truck escort with sirens blaring and lights flashing. The city offers a complimentary trolley service shuttles guests from shopping centers and businesses along the Luminary Trail, but many people enjoy the festival by bike or foot.
However you choose to explore – we hope you will swing by our office at 1640 Periwinkle Way for a special Luminary Night on Sanibel. With something fun for everyone to enjoy, we will continue our tradition of live karaoke, snacks and drinks. Invite your friends and family to stop by along your route.
