Sanibel Nature on the Mend

Natural beaches, diverse wildlife, and peaceful serenity describe our beloved Sanibel Island.

Sanibel Nature on the Mend

The Island’s Allure

While Hurricane Ian devastated our little slice of paradise in September 2022, it didn’t take long to see signs of nature on the mend. Following the storm, I’ve found myself slowing down to take in the sights and sounds that captivated me years ago. I call it the island’s allure.

Serenity Captured

The video below was recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning. Its beauty filled my heart and I knew I had to share it with my fellow lovers of Sanibel Island. Thank you Charles Schultz for spending long hours filming in Ding Darling to capture the footage with the assistance of refuge staff members.

While Hurricane Ian devastated our little slice of paradise in September 2022, it didn’t take long to see signs of nature on the mend. Following the storm, I’ve found myself slowing down to take in the sights and sounds that captivated me years ago. I call it the island’s allure—an ever-changing landscape that offers endless opportunities for photography.

For those looking to dive deeper into capturing the magic of such moments, having a personal guide can be incredibly beneficial. A guide can offer valuable insights, helping you navigate the best times and locations to photograph wildlife in the area. See details at Chasing Wildlife to explore more about how a personal guide can elevate your photography experience. Whether you’re aiming to capture stunning landscapes or the intricate behaviors of local animals, a guide can teach you the techniques to get the most impactful shots.

I hope this short 3-minute video brings peace and tranquility to your day! For more sights and sounds of Ding, watch our video, What You Might See at Ding Darling!
