Sanibel Sales Are Marching Right Along

February and March are BIG months for real estate on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We see the heaviest numbers of visitors and potential home buyers on the island during these months. Usually the week leading up to Easter is the busiest, and this year did not disappoint!

If you were here, you can attest to the number of cars siting on Periwinkle Way. Even Vice President Pence decided to spend some time on Sanibel over the Easter holiday! …Bringing with him a motorcade of more vehicles to add to the traffic jam, of course. But that’s okay. Everyone should experience a nice Spring visit to soak in the Sanibel sunshine.

What Sold on Sanibel & Captiva?

For those homebuyers who visited in January and February, March meant closing time on their home purchase! Just how many homes closed during the month of March? On Sanibel and Captiva combined, there were 25 single family homes and 13 condos that closed in March.

Our year-to-date totals are now at 65 single family home sales and 45 condo units sold so far in 2018. That’s an 11.8% increase in the year-to-date statistics from last year. Bravo!
