Escaping a colder climate is a major motivation for many of our island buyers. We all know Florida is warm, but how does the climate on Sanibel compare to other places in the US?
When I was a kid, my family lived in the Chicago area, and Susan lived in Boston. I wanted to see how the temps in these two cities stacked up compared to the daily average temperatures on Sanibel.
As you can see in the charts below, average temperatures on Sanibel never get too cold or too warm. I think being surrounded by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico help to even things out. The toughest months are July, August and September, not because of high temperatures, but due to high humidity.
